Golf Lessons

We offer a wide variety of golf coaching here at Fulwell. Lessons can take place on our 280-yard outdoor grass practice ground, on our short game practice area, putting and chipping green or in our state of the art indoor swing studio.

There is something on offer for everyone, with private lessons for beginners, low handicappers and aspiring professionals, group lessons for juniors and our Fulwell Academy.

Head Professional - James Johnson

After having a successful Amateur career turning Professional off +3 and always wanting to become a teacher, becoming a PGA Professional was the perfect choice.
I have worked in the industry for over 15 years and with a love of coaching, playing and enjoying the Golf Club environment, I’m delighted to be the Head Professional of such a prestigious Club.

Despite having a busy coaching and retail operation, I still like to stay competitive playing in Pro-Am's and PGA events. Playing highlights for me include finishing Runner-Up in the Sunningdale Foursomes, County 1st team player along with several PGA South Region victories.

Coaching is a huge passion of mine and for me is about two things, keeping it simple and building confidence. Whether you are a Professional or a complete beginner, it is imperative to work on one thing at a time in order to improve.

Assistant Professional - Jack Ross

I turned professional at the beginning of 2022 having worked golf operations for several years previously. I am now in my 3rd year of PGA training having passed year 1 & 2 with distinctions in all modules.

My time in the golf industry was proceeded by BSc Sport and exercise science and MSc Biomechanics degrees during which I focused my work heavily on the golf swing. I now utilise these biomechanical principles in my coaching, using them to help each individual get the most out of their swing based on their physical characteristics. I have a love for short game and specialise in improving your chipping, pitching and bunker play.
I aim to keep instructions in my lessons simple and clear as golf is easy to over-complicate. I hope golfers will leave my lessons feeling confident and with a smile on their face.

Fulwell Academy

The Fulwell Academy launched on 1st April 2022.

Tried golf before and want to get back playing? The Fulwell Academy is the perfect way. Taking up to 12 new golfers every 3 months, our 6 month membership package is perfect to tune your game and get you ready for membership at a golf club.
